## Frequently Asked Questions

### How do I know if my blog posts are actually ranking on Google?

Check Google Search Console to see which keywords your pages rank for and their average position—pages ranking in positions 11-30 are your biggest opportunities to move up with optimization. If you're not seeing your blog in the top 50 results for your target keywords, that's a ranking leak worth investigating during your audit.

### What should I look for when reviewing old blog posts for SEO problems?

Look for posts with thin content (under 500 words), missing internal links to your service pages, outdated information, and pages that target keywords with no search intent for your local business. You should also check whether each post has a clear call-to-action and whether the title and meta description actually match what searchers are looking for.

### How long does a complete blog content audit usually take?

A thorough 30-day audit of 10-15 blog posts typically takes 5-10 hours of work spread across the month, depending on how detailed you want to be with competitor analysis and keyword research. If you'd rather skip the manual work, services like FillMyBlog handle this automatically at $399/month and provide ongoing optimization based on audit findings.

### Why do some of my blog posts get traffic but don't generate leads?

Your posts may be attracting the wrong audience—targeting keywords that don't match your services—or they might lack a clear next step for readers to contact you or book an appointment. A ranking leak audit should include checking whether your best-traffic posts actually include compelling CTAs and are optimized for local intent (like including your city name or service area).
